My pond / iguana cage habitat

Heckle and Jeckle:

Our 2 red-ear sliders. We bought these as those tiny little turtles that are sold everywhere. What most people don't realize, is that they grow, and live for like 30 years. These guys have a pretty good life!

The problem so far is, they like to eat fish. We have 5 Koi in there, and for some reason they are leaving them alone. But, put some goldfish in there, and they are gone! We even tried a LARGE comet that is living in one of the tanks in the house, and although he is bigger than they are, they almost tore him apart in 10 seconds. We managed to fish him out and bring him back inside.

One of them spent the first whole day running around the ground. He didn't want the water at all! The other went to the bottom of the pond and stayed there, which was deeper than he had ever been in his life.

They do enjoy basking in the sun..
